Installer (Level 1):
- Meets all of Mover 1, 2 & 3 requirements
- Must have the minimum standard installer tool kit. (list on back)
- Can assemble Chairs, Desks, Credenzas, Hutches and Small Tables.
- Know the difference between screw types (i.e. wood, metal, self-tappers, concrete)
- Knows how to identify a screw head and select the correct bit to use with a drill. Can Install Keyboard trays, CPU holders and Monitor arms.
- Can connect power and receptacles in several different panel systems.
- Can connect Baseplates, Top Caps and End Trim on several different panel systems.
- Can install Cantilevers and Bracketry per drawings for several different panel systems.
- Can install Overhead Storage Units, Shelves and Lights in several different panel systems.
- Can install a Pedestal and Lateral File for several different panel systems.
- Can install Lock Plugs for several different panel systems.
- Can recognize the above items on a Blueprint or Drawing.
- Can install Wire Shelving.
- Can assist with most other installation tasks with assistance of a more experienced Installer.
- Work to learn and perfect Installer Level 2 tasks.
Installer (Level 2):
- Meets all of Installer 1 requirements.
- Can lead a small Install/Delivery. (Including paperwork management)
- Knows how to stage a small to medium sized project for both Case Good and Systems Install.
- Know how to identify products by reading the tag on the box/packaging
- Can install an L-Shape and a U-Shaped office completely by themselves. (without hutch)
- Can install Panels from several different panel systems.
- Can Level Panels.
- Can install work surfaces in several different panel systems.
- Can install Stack Kits / Glass Add-Ons to panels.
- Can install a standard workstation by themselves. (6×6 with S to panels, 1 overhead storage unit, I shelf, 1 task light, 1 tool rail/slat wall tile w/accessories, 3 work surfaces, 1 box/box/file pedestal and 1 2-drawer lateral file, 1 keyboard tray, 1 monitor arm, 1 CPU holder and 1 chair)
- Knows how to check power and can diagnose an issue quickly if any.
- Can install Doors for several different panel systems.
- Can install Power and Data Poles in several different panel systems.
- Can level file banks.
- Can install several types of metal shelving: Can drill grommets with a hole saw.
- Can make a work surface cut.
- Can recognize the above items on blue print or drawing.
- Can read panel elevation prints.
- Can perform wall mount applications under a Level 3 Installer or higher supervision.
- Work to learn and perfect installer level 3 tasks.
Installer (Level 3):
- Meets all of Installer level 1 & 2 requirements and has practiced consistently for at least 2. year.
- Can lead a small to medium sized project under a Project Managers supervision. (up to 50 workstations (including paperwork management)
- Know how to stage a larger sized project for both Case Good and Systems Install.
- Can level and straighten a large project of workstations. (100+ stations in one area)
- Can perform a reconfigure on the fly.
- Can cut a data/power module in a conference table with a jig saw.
- Can install all wall tack and wall mount applications in both concrete and drywall and knows the proper fasteners/anchors to use.
- Can install furniture that anchors to the floor or concrete with the proper fasteners.
- Can install Floor to Ceiling products under Installer level 4 or higher supervision.
- Knows how to work with other trades that need access to the furniture being installed. (i.e. Electricians and Data Installers)
- Knows how to receive a truck onsite or in a warehouse. This means that you understand how to perform a Bingo Sheet and how to document missing or damaged product.
- Knows how to refer to the paperwork to resolve missing, misplaced, miss ordered and product placement issues. Knows when to contact the office with any issues.
- Knows how to properly prepare a punch list for a project if needed.
- Knows how to perform a final walkthrough and inspection with the end user to obtain a signed delivery ticket.
- Has exceptional time management skills to know how the progress of his or her project is coming along to meet deadline.
- Can engage and request the proper manpower and equipment needed for a project per project circumstances.
- Work to learn and perfect Installer Level 4 tasks
Installer (Level 4):
- Meets all of Installer Level 1, 2 & 3 requirements and has practiced consistently for at least 1 year.
- Can install and supervise a small sized project using Floor to Ceiling products.
- Knows how to load out a multi-vendor project from a warehouse, deliver to site and install all products without leaving any product or taking additional products from the warehouse.
- Knows how to properly operate all tools and hardware used in our industry. (i.e. Rotary Laser level, Band Saw, Circular Saw, Table Saw, GFI Power Strip, latter, Scaffolding etc.)
- Can Lead a larger project without a Project Managers supervision. (100+ workstations)
