In Tampa, what should I expect from an office moving estimate?
07 Apr 2013
So the realization has set-in that you and your company are moving or relocating your office in Tampa. Or perhaps you’ve hired new employees and are re-structuring space within your current office.
Your journey to find the answers to your office moving questions has begun. You may wonder what the moving company estimate process entails. The following FAQ’s should help give you a better understanding of what you should expect from a reputable office relocation company.
Tampa Office Moving Company Estimate FAQ’s:
CAN I GET AN ESTIMATE OVER THE PHONE?
You could get a phone quote, but we don’t recommend it. Why? Each office move, relocation, expansion or building clean out needs to be evaluated based on its own merits. A reputable company will ask you more than the basic questions and will look for ways to help you save money (and time) during your move.
Many of those suggestions simply can’t put forth on a phone call. Someone needs to look at your office space, understand the components of the move and ask you questions. These types of questions and answers really can’t be addressed well over the phone. Take advantage of a free in-office or on-site consultation and get educated on your move.
WILL THE ESTIMATE ADDRESS ALL MY CONCERNS?
Not if done over the phone! Once our company’s representative arrives at your house – either Russ Boles or Brit Paiva, they should do a thorough walk-through examination of your office and space. We will ask questions – a lot of questions – to get a better understanding of what you need done during your move. Below are some examples:
• How many employees are moving?
• Do you need furniture assembled / disassembled?
• Do you need computer moving help?
• Will you require long or short term storage?
Answers to these questions help to tell a story. If the someone rushes in and out, the story will be missing many chapters – we don’t do that at Office Movers of Florida.
HOW LONG WILL THE ESTIMATE TAKE?
There are many variables that determine the amount of time it takes to estimate a project. Industry average is approximately forty five minutes to an hour, but we find we’re at your office for a longer period. In order for us to understand your needs and give you an accurate estimate, we’ll need some time with you. Fire away with your questions and don’t stop until they’re all answered!
WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY ESTIMATE?
We’ll need a little time to calculate the estimate. We can go over the estimate with you in person or email it to you for your review. We guarantee we will provide you an estimate in writing.
HOW MUCH WILL MY ESTIMATE COST?
Our estimates are free – there is no cost for us to come out and talk with your organization. No office moving company should charge your for an estimate.
HOW SHOULD I PAY FOR THE WORK ONCE I’M READY TO MOVE FORWARD?
We require a small deposit with the balance due upon completion. We don’t ask for anything up front!
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET THE WORK DONE?
That depends on the size and scope of the move. A smaller move can be done in a few hours. A large move with dozens of employees, furniture and equipment will take more time. A projected time frame will be a part of the written estimate for you!
HOW SHOULD I BASE MY DECISION ON WHAT COMPANY TO HIRE?
You may think ‘cost’ is the main reason for hiring or not hiring us, but really it boils down to the fact that Office Movers of Florida has many other attributes going for us.
