Here is a quick checklist of things you should do to make your next move simple, easy and efficient.
- Communicate the upcoming move with your staff and employees.
- Make sure your customers, vendors and suppliers know about your move.
- Meet with your IT team; computer systems are the lifeblood of most small and mid-size businesses.
- Create a relationship with an office moving company. You may also need office furniture and equipment installation as well.
- Create a plan and timeline for the move; you’ll need to know what goes where and what the process is for moving.
- Notify the utility and service provider companies you work with; you’ll need to both disconnect before the move and reconnect after the move.
- Order new business cards, stationary, letterhead, etc. if needed.
- Prepare a PR Release about the move; distributing PR Release helps inform people about the move and it’s also free advertising!
