Tampa Companies Trust Local Office Movers With Their Furniture
01 Jun 2017
One of the questions we’re asked frequently is, “how do you guys protect our furniture from being damaged?”
And understandably, that’s a very important question for our clients. They’re concerned about dings, scratches, broken pieces or missing pieces — really any type of damage that could happen to office seating, cubicles, desks and more.
Imagine a 25 employee move from one building in St. Pete to a new location in Largo, FL (just a few miles away). All of the furniture and various other items need to be disassembled, boxed, wrapped and moved to the new location. Once there, everything has to be un-packed, un-wrapped and re-installed in the proper place. The scope of the job could be hundreds or thousands of pieces and parts.
While all office furniture is an asset of the company, some furniture can be very expensive. Conference room tables can easily cost $10,000 or more. Private office configurations and casegoods can be $20,000 per office. Artwork, technology and other items can be very expensive and fragile as well. Trust is super important.
A client doesn’t want any of this damaged. And importantly, the client doesn’t want any damage to occur to their old office space — or their new office space.
That could include:
- flooring scuffs and scratches
- drywall damage
- dings and scratches to doorframes
- discoloration of carpeting
- damage to lighting
- damage to other structural office components — walls, threshold pieces, cabinetry, etc.
- the list goes on and on
Trust is Important
Naturally, our company is insured and your furniture is protected by the contracts you sign to begin the move or installation work with Office Movers of Florida.
But the reality is that no one wants to deal with damage property. It’s better to not have any issues in the first place.
How do we build trust with our clients?
First, our movers and installers are specifically trained to work with office furniture. Our team is not comprised of day labor help or guys who work on residential moves. Our teams are made of people who move businesses in the Tampa Bay area every single day.
We have experience installing furniture or moving offices for Fortune 500 companies, local governments, small businesses and everything in between. There are very few big name companies in Tampa we’ve not worked with — and hundreds of smaller companies.
Our installers are experienced with all brands of office furniture — we know what we’re doing when taking apart and re-assembly furniture. This means we’re not wasting time installing furniture or potentially damages furniture by putting it together incorrectly.
Our general manager and/or project leads will work with a representative at your company to walk you through how a move will go. This is always reassuring and also offers a main point of contact during the entire moving process.
We’re a Certified Office Mover®, recognized by the International Office Moving Institute (IOMI®). That’s important to us — and should be to you too!
