The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that, “nationwide breakfast-and-brunch chain First Watch is expanding its corporate headquarters as it continues to grow.”

The company, which currently has it’s headquarters in the University Park area of Sarasota is building a new headquarters location in the University Town Center area. The build will be over 39,000 square feet, two-stories and open for business in late 2020.

Estimates say the new expansion will create 85 jobs at an average annual salary of nearly $82,000 – high impact for Manatee County.

Per the news article, “the expanded headquarters will feature collaborative work spaces, a workout center with locker rooms, a test kitchen, classroom facilities for the company’s management academy, indoor and outdoor dining and leisure spaces and more, according to the release.”

When companies like First Watch expand like this, they generally have a healthy budget for new office furniture. It will be interesting to see the office furniture selections chosen. Collaborative workspace furniture is a trending option which helps employees communicate and exchange ideas in shared spaces.

Office Movers of Florida is one of the few companies in Florida trained and experienced in setting up and installing collaborative workspaces and furniture – as well as managing commercial relocations.
