Fitness Companies, Gyms on the Move in Tampa Bay

The Business Observer‘s latest article, Fitness Industry Shapes Up With New Ideas is timely.

In January 2020, like so many January’s before, resolutions are made to “get in better shape!” This article is less about individual  and their drive to get healthy, and more about local entrepreneurs who are taking innovative approaches to creating business opportunities around the public’s desire to be healthier.

We bring this up because over the years we’ve managed the moves and relocation of various gyms and fitness centers across Tampa Bay. Believe us, even the people who run gyms and are probably stronger and more fit than the average person are not really inclined to do the heavy lifting required with a gym relocation project.

Take our word for it, there is A LOT of heavy equipment that has to be removed, loaded onto moving trucks and then placed into a new gym location. Besides the individual weights (which could total tens of thousands of pounds just by themselves) there are various machines or large pieces of equipment – treadmills, bicycles, benches, rowing machines, cable machines, Smith machines, frames and much more. And also things like mirrors, desks, lockers, furniture in locker rooms or meeting rooms as well as traditional office supplies – computers, phones, file cabinets, shelving and more.
