Installing Sit Stand Furniture is The Newest Trend Hitting Tampa Bay Workspaces

While sit/stand desks (sometimes called adjustable height desks or just standing desks) have been around for awhile now, it seems like the last 6 months or so has seen an uptick in the use of this kind of office furniture.

We’ve been getting more calls for the installation of sit/stand desks from companies all across Tampa Bay and Central Florida. Sometimes these companies are buying multiple units and need to arrange delivery of the desks to our Tampa warehouse, and then delivery to the office.

Some desks are delivered directly to the office and then our teams will unpack boxes, set up the furniture, run cords and make sure everything is working properly.

Adjustable height desks are sold by many of the top office furniture brands — but two brands are leading the way: Uplift Desks, HumanScale and Varidesk. Prices for standing desks can start as low as $299 but can also reach over $2,500 depending on the quality and functionality of the desk. An average, good desk will start around $500.

When looking, you’ll want to consider the quality of the frame (legs and support base) as well as the table top — which comes in laminates, wood, metal and more. The small motor (or motors) that makes the desktop go up and down can be a little noisy and ‘jolty’ depending on the manufacturer. Be sure to ask about warranty features as well.
