Tampa Tribune Newspaper Eyes New Office Space

03 Feb 2016

Ybor? Downtown Tampa? Where Will The Tribune Relocate?

According to various reports, including this morning’s article in the Tampa Bay Business Journal, the Tampa Tribune is still evaluating options for its new office space as it will move from its current location on Parker Street downtown.

The Tribune sold their building for more than $17 million. Plans call for a 400-unit residential apartment complex to be built on the site.

Per an article in the Tampa Tribune in Sept. 2015, the paper “is looking at potential space in downtown Tampa, the Channel District, Ybor City and along the Kennedy Boulevard corridor.

The intent will be to create collaborative space in which different departments of the newspaper can interact.”

Complex Office Relocations Require Planning and Coordination

It’s important to note that office space relocations of this size require an amazing amount of planning and coordination to ensure the move goes smoothly.

With as many people who will be moving, including all of the Tribune’s office furniture, this will be one of the larger commercial relocations within Tampa Bay this year.

Tampa commercial real estate adviser, Avocat Group, is managing the search for new office space. Matt Sultenfuss, managing director of the firm, is leading the search.
