Things to Consider When Moving Office Space in Tampa Bay
05 Jan 2015
Moving your office in 2015?
Whether you’re moving within the building or heading across Tampa to an entirely new location, there are a few things you may want to consider about your move.
A commercial moving company, like Office Movers of Florida, can walk you through all of the steps involved in a relocation project.
Here are some things to ask about:
Computer equipment – can, or will, your moving company move your computers? Some companies will not and will leave it to a local IT company to manage that part of the move. If they do offer to move your computers, you’ll want to ask what the process is – how do they keep your equipment safe. Obviously, computers are expensive and relatively fragile.
Setup at the new place – will your moving company setup, assemble and install cubes, desks and workstations? Will they lay down your rugs? Will they put the break room in order, plug in appliances and do anything/everything needed to get your office ready for work?
Hang art work – will they hang pictures, dry erase boards, decorations or anything else that needs to be placed on the walls?
How long? – how long will the move take? A moving company, once they’ve had a change to talk to you about your needs, wants and requirements, can give you a pretty good understanding of what it will take to manage your move – especially the time involved.
Insurance – be sure to ask about insurance and liability issues. It’s better to know upfront rather than later.
